Ya Think?

The idea that reporters are trying to help Obama win in November has grown by five percentage points over the past month. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey, taken just before the new controversy involving the Times erupted, found that 49% of voters believe most reporters will try to help the Democrat with their coverage, up from 44% a month ago.

Just 14% believe most reporters will try to help McCain win, little changed from 13% a month ago. Just one voter in four (24%) believes that most reporters will try to offer unbiased coverage.

Last week, the New York Times published an editorial by Barack Marie Obama about how he’d handle the war in Iraq.  Today, they rejected an editorial response by John McCain.

This week, Obama is touring the Middle East, including stops in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Accompanying him are the Big 3 network news anchors, Brian Williams, Katie Couric and Charles Gibson.  Over 200 journalists asked to go on the trip, but they campaign could only accomodate 40.

During the week of March 16th, McCain’s trip to Iraq received only four stories combined by the three networks.

The CBS “Evening News” was by far the worst, devoting only 31 words, a grand total of 10 seconds, to the Republican nominee’s Iraq visit during the entire week of evening news coverage.

Furthermore:

Motley notes that when Senator John McCain was in Colombia on July 2, he was chastised on five separate occasions during two segments on ABC’s Good Morning America for leaving the country while America’s economy was in peril.

Plus!  Entertainment Tonight’s website has at least 30 articles tagged Barack ObamaJohn McCain has five.

PLUS, they’re wet for him when he wears jeans!
