Obama unfamiliar with health care plan
From the Heritage Foundation:
With the public’s trust in his handling of health care tanking (50%-44% of Americans disapprove), the White House has launched a new phase of its strategy designed to pass Obamacare: all Obama, all the time. As part of that effort, Obama hosted a conference call with leftist bloggers urging them to pressure Congress to pass his health plan as soon as possible.
During the call, a blogger from Maine said he kept running into an Investors Business Daily article that claimed Section 102 of the House health legislation would outlaw private insurance. He asked: “Is this true? Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?” President Obama replied: “You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about.”
He’s out there pimping the plan day in and day out. He’s making promises about keeping our doctors and keeping our current insurance. And yet he’s not familiar with a key part of the plan which apparently threatens the private health insurance market?
Congress won’t read the bill. The president won’t read the bill. Neither of them will understand the bill that gets passed. They just want to make sure it gets passed now, because Obama’s poll numbers are falling, public support of the Democrat health plan is falling. Projected budget shortfalls are increasing every month. This is the centerpiece of the president’s pinko agenda, and they know that this is probably their last chance to get it done before the far-left leadership in Congress lose their clout.
Hang in there, folks. We’re winning on this one.
