ELCA votes to allow gay pastors

For those who supported this, it’s a great moment of joy and relief. For those Lutherans who consider homosexual behavior a sinful act, I guess this is a gird-your-loins moment.

As for me, I’m just not all that fond of fiddling with 2000-year-old anything in order to make the current generation feel better about themselves. Something is either a sin or it isn’t. If it is, then treat it like a sin. If it’s not, then why have Lutherans considered it sinful for the last 500 years? Bastards could have saved everybody a lot of trouble if they would have determined this during the Reformation.
