Barack Obama’s Taint
I’m no lawyer, but the President of the United States and the Attorney General of the United States have both come out before a trial and told us that the civilian trial of KSM will result in the conviction and execution of the defendant.
Doesn’t that somehow taint the jury pool? Couldn’t the defendant claim that there’s no possible way to get a fair trial now?
Futhermore, aren’t defendants presumed innocent, and has this presumption been violated by the two highest-profile lawyers in the federal government?

Obama’s New Judge
Welcome, Comrade David Hamilton!
Remember, we’re supposed to judge Obama’s performance and beliefs by the people he associates with.
ACLU leader? Check!
ACORN fundraiser? Check!
Anti-Christian but pro-Muslim? Check!
Lenient on drug and child predator sentencing? Check!
Pro-abortion? Check!
Believes in “empathy” rather than strict interpretation of the law? Check!

Obama warns about deficits. Barf.
BEIJING, Nov 18 (Reuters) – President Barack Obama gave his sternest warning yet about the need to contain rising U.S. deficits, saying on Wednesday that if government debt were to pile up too much, it could lead to a double-dip recession.
I guess his first warning would in effect be his “sternest warning yet.”
Support TARP, demand the stimulus, demand cap & trade, demand health care reform, quadruple the deficit, and then tell us that we’re being irresponsible by going into debt.
He doesn’t even care how ridiculous he sounds when he says stuff like this. He’s laughably, comically inept. His words are at war with themselves. He’s not leading on anything, he sounds like an idiot, he looks like a fool, he’s putting us at risk, he’s twiddling his thumbs over Afghanistan, and he’s proving himself a liar about every promise he made as a candidate. It’s disgraceful and bizarre.

BEIJING — President Obama directly acknowledged for the first time Wednesday that the prison facility at Guantanamo Bay will not close by the January deadline he set, but he said he hoped to still achieve that goal sometime next year.
Obama refused, however, to set a new deadline.
This was a cornerstone of his entire claim to the presidency. Understandably, by the time he got elected and the grown-ups started thinking about the issue, his plans didn’t actually work out.
He’s failed to lead on any of his signature issues. You’ve all been Hope-a-Doped again.

Stimulus money being spent in non-existent districts
Here’s a stimulus success story: In Arizona’s 15th congressional district, 30 jobs have been saved or created with just $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. At least that’s what the Web site set up by the Obama administration to track the $787 billion stimulus says.
There’s one problem, though: There is no 15th congressional district in Arizona; the state has only eight districts.
And:
recovery.gov says $34 million in stimulus money has been spent in Arizona’s 86th congressional district in a project for the Navajo Housing authority, which is actually located in the 1st congressional district.
In Oklahoma, recovery.gov lists more than $19 million in spending — and 15 jobs created — in yet more congressional districts that don’t exist.
In Iowa, it shows $10.6 million spent – and 39 jobs created — in nonexistent districts.
In Connecticut’s 42nd district (which also does not exist), the Web site claims 25 jobs created with zero stimulus dollars.
The list of spending and job creation in fictional congressional districts extends to U.S. territories as well.
$68.3 million spent and 72.2 million spent in the 1st congressional district of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
$8.4 million spent and 40.3 jobs created in the 99th congressional district of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
$1.5 million spent and .3 jobs created in the 69th district and $35 million for 142 jobs in the 99th district of the Northern Mariana Islands.
$47.7 million spent and 291 jobs created in Puerto Rico’s 99th congressional district.
